Ashadeep Sewa Prakalp Trust celebrated its 9th annual day in a unique
manner through a “Kavya Sanvad” and “A Musical Evening”. Profound and
famous poets of the city, viz. S/Shri Pradeep Mishra, Devendra Rinwa,
Pradeep Kant Soni and Rakesh Sharma recited their few creations on this
occasion. Light musical artist Rajesh Sharma and Shivangi Mishra presented
several songs in their melodious voice. The programme was presided by Past
Rotary Governor and Senior Eye Consultant Dr. Ramesh Agarwal while Chief
Engineer, RRCAT Shri A.M. Kekre was the Chief Guest of the function. On
this occasion, the newly built Ashadeep Auditorium was also inaugurated.
A small informative booklet based on various services of the
organization “Asha-Sutra” was also unveiled. A grant felicitation program
of Dr. (Smt.) Asha Pandit was also held on the occasion who
dedicated her whole life for the organization. Fortunately, her birthday
was also celebrated in this month. Founder President Smt. Leelawati Pandit
welcomed her whereas Umesh Vyas and Antara Karvade welcomed Dr. Pandit with
a bouquet . Dr. Abha Pandit and Umesh Vyas welcomed the guest. Shri Aditya
Pandit and Dr. Abhijeet Pandit presented momentos to the guests. Smt.
Antara Karvade presented a brief details about the activities of the
organization while Shri Rakesh Sharma conducted the programme.
The annual meeting of Ashadeep
Seva Prakalp Trust
was held on July
8th, 2006 in Ashadeep Hospital.
Prior to this meeting, a health
camp was also organized
under the leadership of Dr. Abha Pandit,
Managing Trustee w.e.f. 8 AM.
Hundreds of villagers and
citizens from nearby areas
attended this camp. The

for this health camp. More than
280 people were examined in the
camp. According to their needs,
X-ray, sonography, Pathological
tests and ECG were performed
absolutely free of cost. Thirty
patients were also registered
for transplanting artificial
lenses through eye surgery.
The post lunch session started
with the Clinical Conference of
Doctors.
About 22
Doctors from
the city participated in this
conference.
General meeting of the trust
started in the evening at 7.30
PM. All the trustees
participated in this meeting.
The meeting was presided
over by the
President Mrs. Leelawati
Pandit. Dr. Abha Pandit
was special invitee in the
meeting. She was nominated as
Managing Trustee unanimously by
all the trustees.

organized at 8.00 PM. The meet
started with Saraswati Vandana.

brochure of Ashadeep Seva
Prakalp Trust was also unveiled
during this programme. About 200
persons participated in this
meet. The programme was
conducted by Shri Hemant Thakkar.

An M.S. in Oto-Rhino-Laryngology
(E.N.T.), Dr. Asha Pandit joined
Government service in the year
of 1980 through her merit
selection by the Madhya Pradesh
Public Service Commission.
During her tenure
as a
Government Doctor, she has
rendered services for a period
of more than 10 years in the
tribal and rural areas of Madhya
Pradesh, where she served the
down trodden, unprivileged and
socially backward section of the
society.
Apart from her regular stream of ENT, she has successfully
performed more than 1,00,000
(approx.) TT and other
surgeries. She has also
participated/organized about 300
Health check up camps.
Earlier, the most prestigious
“Bharat Jyoti Award” and a
“Certificate of Excellence” by
the India International
Friendship Society honored Dr.
Asha Pandit for her selfless and
dedicated services to the
society. She is a life member of
Indian Medical Association and
All India Society of Oto-Rhino-
Laryngologists. She has also
undertaken and implemented a
number of Pilot Health schemes
of the Government in the field
of Family Planning, RCH,
Immunization, Pulse Polio, AIDS
Control, School Children’s
Health Programme and RNTP etc.

Dr. Asha Pandit, for a longer,
energetic and active life, so
that she may continue spreading
the light of her Seva-Jyoti
through her untiring, self-less
and dedicated services to the
